Dementia is a growing concern for people as they age, and it’s estimated that the number of people affected by the condition will triple by 2050. Although there is no cure for dementia, early detection and prevention are crucial in reducing the risk of developing the condition. This is where Cognivue and a hearing test come in.

Cognivue is a computerized cognitive assessment tool that measures various aspects of cognitive function, including memory, attention, processing speed, and executive function. The test is quick, non-invasive, and can be performed in about 10 min. It provides a baseline measurement of cognitive function, which can be used to monitor changes over time.

One of the key ways that Cognivue and a hearing test can help prevent dementia is by identifying risk factors early on. For example, hearing loss has been linked to an increased risk of developing dementia. The reason for this is that hearing loss can lead to social isolation, depression, and a decline in cognitive function. By detecting hearing loss early, it’s possible to take steps to prevent these negative outcomes.

In addition to detecting hearing loss, Cognivue can also identify other risk factors for dementia, such as memory loss, attention problems, and processing speed issues. By identifying these issues early, it’s possible to take steps to prevent further decline, such as engaging in activities that promote cognitive health, such as reading, playing games, and exercising.

Cognivue and a hearing test can also be used to monitor changes in cognitive function over time. By comparing results from the test to previous results, it’s possible to track changes in cognitive function and identify early signs of decline. This allows for early intervention, which is crucial in preventing the progression of dementia.

In conclusion, Cognivue and a hearing test are important tools in the prevention of dementia. By identifying risk factors early, it’s possible to take steps to prevent further decline and maintain cognitive health. It’s also important to monitor changes in cognitive function over time to detect early signs of decline, so that early intervention can be taken. Came in yesterday for my mother due to an ad invite for a new hearing device and instead got more than we came for, a thorough ear/hearing tests and insurance options expert advice without sales pitch hint. Dr. Wesley Nakamura's patience and knowledge made us feel comfortable and he genuinely wants to help us, putting our best interest first. Neat and clean office with super friendly staff! Too bad Yelp only got 5 stars when I could easily give it a 10! Thank you Wes and the staff !!! Aloha! - Andy andy hearing review in oahu hi
I took a hearing test there and had the best experience ever! Dr. Nakamura is really generous, friendly, and heartwarming. He made sure if I felt comfortable when I am in the small room for the hearing test. He knows well with hearing aids and he fixed feedback of my hearing aid like in 5 minutes. The feedback bothered me for a long time but it got so much better. He speaks Japanese very well, too. I would definitely come back to here if I ever get a problem with my hearing aids. Thank you so much!! - Manae top rated hearing reviews in oahu
